A portion of a letter from a cadet who has it right....

I have a message for Senator Harry Reid, a message from the pastthat is heard in the wailing and groaning of our founders turning intheir graves:"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, andthen say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and ourposterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, and plough, and sow,and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us thedogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude thanthe animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not yourcounsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. Mayyour chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye wereour countrymen!" - Samuel Adams

Behold a man of virtue, worthy of the office Senator Reid disgraces.

A letter that all veterans should write.

April 23, 2007

Senator Harry Reid
Majority Leader
United States Senate

Dear Senator Reid,

As a veteran and patriotic American, I resent your comments about our Commander in Chief, the President of the United States. You have modeled a lack of civility that is unparalleled in our history for someone in your responsible position. You have opted for politics at all costs, and failed in following basic rules of manners and respect. If I lived in Nevada, I would do all in my power to recall you from your position. I do not believe you represent the vast majority of Americans. Sir, you should be ashamed and apologize to the people of this great nation and to our President.

"Let's Be Specific" (Edited Letter for Length)
Due to the thunderous applause that I received from the far-left over the "I Am Tired" letter written by one of our troops in Iraq, I thought it prudent to follow up with one last attempt to be very specific about what I have observed and actually personally encountered during my 36 years of service to this Great Country.
As a young fighter pilot, flying F-4s in Vietnam, I was stopped in my tracks by the decisions made by Lyndon Johnson and Robert McNamara. I was young and naive, but even then I knew their daily interference was wrong and would not allow us to win this thing and go home. Decisions like not allowing us to strike enemy aircraft while still on the ground, keeping real targets off the target list, and allowing us to strike only rusted-out trucks made us basically a toothpick factory. However, the big one for me came the day I saw the President Lyndon Johnson on television, forcefully lying to the American people.
Then, came everyone's favorite---Bill Clinton. If there ever was an individual 180 degrees out of sync with the ideals and the values of the US military, it was Clinton. He was a known draft dodger, military hating, self absorbed, unspeakingly shameless and immoral individual, who the Left managed to elect President of the United States of America. Clinton's antics in the White House would have brought court martial, conviction, and Dishonorable Discharge had he been a military member. We still suffer oral sex on school buses, because the President told the world it wasn't real sex, and some of our children believed him. It took a lot of years, but now I became certain
America, wake up. Giving in to the likes of these people and Abraham Lincoln's prediction of destruction from within just may come true. There is not a country in the world that can be considered a conventional military threat to the United States today. However, this country faces anew kind of threat---one that will not go away. It is a threat even moreserious that WWII, because money, industry and technology will not defeat it
Initially, I was not a George Bush fan. I am not even a Republican. I normally vote Republican, because of my total despise of Communism, Socialism and the far-left in this country. I am a Conservative. However, during his watch, I feel President Bush just happened to stumble upon the leading edge of the greatest threat this country has ever faced. Mistakes have been made, because of the newness of the threat. Overall, the President has done a superb job dealing the threat, and at the same time held off the constant ranting, raving, deceitful and malicious escapades of the far-left attempting to regain political power. IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO COME TOGETHER AND BACK OUR PRESIDENT, IT IS RIGHT NOW. WITHOUT CONCENSUS WE ARE EMPOWERING THE TERRORIST!!!! The far-left is totally absorbed with the power struggle and regaining control of congress. They could care less about defeating the threat. It literally disgusts me to hear the constant disagreement with everything the President tries to do, all in the name of trying to make him look bad to the voters. Unfortunately, by the time the American people really appreciate how bad the far-left really is, it may too late.
Regardless of who is President, the people will not tolerate mass explosions on a daily basis, as our good friends in Israel have been forced to do. To protect that position of power, even Hillary will be forced to become a true hawk. To guarantee a few more votes Ted Kennedy may be forced to begin supporting a strong military. One more attack on America might even wipe the giddy,'I-am-finally-somebody' grin from Nancy Pelosi's face, and make her realize that is not about votes and personal power. IT IS ABOUT PROTECTING THIS GREAT COUNTRY FROM ALL ENEMIES, BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.

I'm Tired

"Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq, I wasforced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained priorto my deployment. With luck, I'll return to Iraq to finish my tour.

I left Baghdad and a war that has every indication that we are winning, toreturn to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971after my tour in Vietnam. Maybe it's because I'll turn 60 years old injust four months, but I'm tired:I'm tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican wholack the courage, fortitude, and character to see these difficult tasksthrough.I'm tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite historywhen the going gets tough.I'm tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they 'Supportthe Troops' by wanting them to 'Cut and Run' before victory is achieved.I'm tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs andcasualty reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety oftheir hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men andwomen are having on the battlefield.I'm tired that so many Americans think you can rebuild a dictatorshipinto a democracy over night.I'm tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go tothe voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanentParliament.I'm tired of the so called 'Elite Left' that prolongs this war by givingaid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.I'm tired of antiwar protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallensoldiers. A family who's loved ones gave their life in a just and noblecause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardlyprotesters is beyond shameful.I'm tired that my generation, the Baby Boom/Vietnam generation, who havesuch a weak backbone that they can't stomach seeing the difficult tasksthrough to victory.I'm tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captivesthan they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and alli es.I'm tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by thepress, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front page news.Mostly, I'm tired that the people of this great nation didn't learn fromhistory that there is no substitute for Victory.

Sincerely,Joe Repya

Never Before has the Speaker of the House Aided our Enemies

And Pelosi would probably be adverse to hang out with these guys if she knew F-18s might be approaching. Charging her with treason in the meantime would be appropriate. If the Speaker of the House during the Vietnam War had broken bread with Cambodian leaders, the public would have demanded his resignation and the most severe punishment possible for such a crime. And yet when Nancy Pelosi sits down with our enemies' collaborators, she's given a pass, even praised by those who cheer on any action that goes against the President. Al Jazerra is probably her biggest fan right now, next to the New York Times.
The problem is she's not just hurting the President, she's betraying our troops, and everyone around the world at risk to terrorist attacks, which is most of us.
We should not let her get away with it. We need to hold Pelosi responsible for her actions, as well as Syria and Iran. The three of them have more than proven their status as enemies of the United States.

What happened to unity an patriotism?

Until Nancy Pelosi came along, it was understood by all that we had only one president at a time and -- like him or not -- he alone had the Constitutional authority to speak for this country to foreign nations, especially in wartime.
All that Pelosi's trip can accomplish is to advertise American disunity to a terrorist-sponsoring nation in the Middle East while we are in a war there. That in turn can only embolden the Syrians to exploit the lack of unified resolve in Washington by stepping up their efforts to destabilize Iraq and the Middle East in general.
Members of the opposition party, whichever party that might be at a given time, knew that their role was not to intervene abroad themselves to undermine this country's foreign policy, however much they might criticize it at home.
During the Second World War, the defeated Republican presidential candidate, Wendell Wilkie, even acted as President Roosevelt's personal envoy to British Prime Minister Churchill. He understood that we were all in this together, however we might disagree among ourselves about the best course to follow.
Today, Nancy Pelosi and the Congressional Democrats are stepping in to carry out their own foreign policy and even their own military policy on troop deployment -- all the while denying that they are intruding on the president's authority.
