Time to Become Active in 2008

Vietnam Vets need to sit up and take note of what is going on, we need to become "active" in this critical 2008 election, our nation may well depend on it. We have two candidates, one who has great charisma and communcative skills, and one who has paid the price of being a patriot, soldier and statesman. Here is a recent quote from a Captain in Basra Iraq about the candidate with charisma. Read and heed and then wake as many people up as you can to vote for John McCain.

Email from Iraq -

Okay, I received this in an earlier email from a friend, another 'Nam vet. he made a point of telling me it wasn't a "verified" post. But I then went to a couple of other blogs and sources, where I found it printed and cited as factual. It doesn't seem out of character to me for pols, and particularly dem pols to "stage" opportunities. But then the "spin" began by the Obama supporters, and the plot thickened - like a bad London fog.

They put it out this wasn't the truth, but only on the good old "it depends on what is, is" logic the left's famous for nowadays.

The answer to the truth issue was to demean and attempt to negate the observations of the source. The Army played along, since "going political" by an actively serving officer isn't "cricket". Unfortunately for Obama, they apparently forced the officer to "define" his earlier missive and that in-turn, allowed him to make clear his observations, and they turned-out to be factual - at least from his view. But he was made to apologize in a back-handed way to keep himself out of hot water.

The more telling event during this "Rock Star" extravaganza was the hospital deal. In that case the Army was obligated to come to its own defense after the Senator said they'd told him he couldn't visit our wounded. A lie. He was all about press coverage, and the Army kaboshed that aspect of a visit; and that was enough to have him side-step that unpleasantry.

The left in this country doesn't give a shit for the military, plain and simple. During my lifetime I can't recall a time when the armed forces, the people who serve in it, or the value it brings has been positively acknowledged by them. Anyone who has an example counter to this, I'd love to read it. The leftists are so arrogant and full of their own superiority, they view military service as a place only for poor and socially-retarded or repressed "other people's kids". How in hell they hope to attract young people to come to this Nations defense eludes me. But perhaps that's because they, collectively, simply don't believe there's any threat at all. Communism wasn't a threat. They opposed the fight against it - and still do. Instead they continue to admire and revere Mao, Che and Fidel. Leftist pols cow-tow to Chinese financial support and turn a blind eye to abuses by those governments (yet still find a cause in their "Free Tibet" bumper stickers!). They think Castro's Cuba is repressed by us, not his boot, and believe the Cubans enjoy a better system of medical care! Jesus! What's wrong with them? Is there a "logic chip" missing? Today's enemy, Radical Islamofacism, isn't a threat either. To the lefts' mindseye, we're the problem and it's all our fault. Just like everything.

No. They've been educated to this end. The grade school teachers, the high school teachers, the college professors are products of the embrace of socialism. In-turn, they drive this progressive message down the throats of anyone they get access to and "grow" the new lefties. The adage "tell a lie long enough and loud enough, it becomes truth" is their mantra. If you don't "buy" it, then you're among the illiterate and foolish who would choose to defend this Republic.

I say this country is doomed if Barack Hussein Obama takes power. But dooming this Republic is the goal for them. I encourage every real American to speak, write and do all they can, when they can to enunciate this reality. To remain silent is to ensure the end of America as we've known it.
